My project browser and properties Windows in revit were visible but completely frozen, I could not select anything in them at all. Just thought I would post this issue in case anyone else has the same issue. It turned out that turning off the 3D Accelerator freed them up. I then closed down revit, opened it up

This is quite a common problem in recent version of AutoCAD. You select objects and want to change their properties from properties palette. However, you see that the properties palette is not showing the objects’ properties. You can’t also update properties using properties palette. There are a couple things that may cause this.

In our case this is set to US Imperial, and within that folder you will find another folder named ‘Lighting’, which you need to navigate to. Select the new panel from the drop down list at the top of the Properties Palette. Repeat this step for each panel. If desired, the original panel can be deleted from the family in order to decrease file size.

One thing you should know though: When you create the window selection from left to right, we call it window selection. You can see the window as continuous line. When you create the window selection from right to left, we call it crossing window selection.
